A fusion of physical theatre and new circus. The French say “metro, boulot, dodo”, which means that you wake up, you go to work by metro, you spend the day there, and then you go straight to bed. This is Out of Service. Drawing attention to the ways in which we work and think about work, and exploring whether it is possible to do what makes us happy as well as whence an unexpected help might come.
Public toilets are a world of its own. Buzzing fluorescent lights, dripping faucet, lost tourists at the most. Have you ever wondered what happens in there during the lunch break? What if the public toilets are jam-packed? A gathering place of the employees from the nearby offices and shops? Nobody orders them around, nobody follows them or manipulates them. They find peace here. But what about it?
