Feel the Universe Circus Company INT

Kolaborace

Collective discovering what the circus and movement theatre field.

Collaboration is an act of joining intellectual or physical forces among the people. Something that is mostly meant to be a positive and idealist notion, but the word has also a dark meaning which has cost people's lives. When a person for their own benefit decided or was forced to cooperate and assist an enemy of one's country and especially an occupying force. At times when trust was broken, people counted only on themselves. We are still finding ourselves in a time of individualism. Feel The Universe's new production is a collective discovering what the circus and movement theatre field has to say about trust about giving all of yourself in a group for the same intention. In ‘Collaboration’ circus artists will be pushed as individuals to their limits to discover if they can succeed alone or they can only reach the aim holding onto each other.

“In summer 2016 we were wondering that we would like to try, as a students of contemporary circus academies, how it is to have our own company. We united with our international colleagues and we created one-off project called Cirkus Lab. We were pleasantly surprised by from audience response so we repeated the model of one week creative residency also next year and make another show. This year 2018 it's already the third time we do it so it suddenly becomes a tradition. Every year, we - as a team of artists - try to research new problematics, original genre combination and collaborate with interesting artists across disciplines. This all combined with the difficult physical training that circus requires.”
