With The Castle we want to debunk the myth of Kafka as an illegible, almost mythical writer, hardly understandable even to the very few experts on his work. On the contrary, we want to show his ironic facet, stressing out his capacity of pinpointing the “Zeitgeist“ and the meandering of the human psyche. The latter he could describe with cruel exactness, almost with a grim. We are not imposing the grotesque form on Kafka, rather, we believe, it is the text that inherently asks for this very genre.
