Gorila

What happens when you lock a gorilla in a standard panel-block studio flat?

Wed 30. 9. 19:30 290 CZK
Prepare for a wild ride of physical theatre infused with punk energy, sharp satire and absurd surrealism. Gorilla is an original one-man show – a distinctive stage sitcom about an actor who has become somewhat lost in his own role.

On stage, two worlds collide in a peculiar encounter: a human who is gradually losing touch with his humanity meets the purity and instinctive nature of an ape. Yet in this chaos, it is far from clear who is more naïve and who has truly lost their way. Is it the animal thrown into the unfamiliar ecosystem of a panel-block apartment? Or the human telling this story?

The creator becomes hopelessly entangled in the surrealism of his own script, while the gorilla desperately tries to escape the impossible situation he has created. And so, while the human searches for a path back to nature, the gorilla explores what it means to be human.

Do not expect profound philosophy or intellectual puzzles. Feel free to leave your brain in the cloakroom, immerse yourself fully in the absurd world of the main character and simply enjoy the ride. And even if it sounds completely mad, you may find that this chaos leaves you with more than you expected.

The important thing is not to lose your mind. Or your banana!
