We warmly invite you to the exhibition by photographer Lukáš Bíba: Okamžik.

The exhibition runs until 15 November 2026 and is free to visit during the opening hours of the Jatka78 Bistro & Bar (MON–FRI 10am–11pm, SAT–SUN – on performance days, we open 90 minutes before the start of the performance).

The exhibition is part of the accompanying programme marking the final performance of Okamžik by Cirk La Putyka at Azyl78.

Lukáš Bíba is one of the absolute finest Czech reportage photographers, a Czech Press Photo award winner, and has been closely connected with Cirk La Putyka since the pandemic. That was when he began documenting our efforts to keep culture alive, and from that moment on, he was there for everything important. Often without us even knowing it – that’s how discreet he can be. Over time, he became an integral part of the Putyka pack. His photographs form our collective memory and reflect everything that has taken shape both on and off stage in recent years.

This selection of 23 photographs from Okamžik, which you can see for the last time at Azyl78 this autumn, reveals just how far Lukáš is willing to go for a great shot. To capture a unique angle, he drew on his climbing experience, suspended himself 14 metres above the ground and photographed the entire performance several times from the air.

The series therefore offers more than documentation of a performance – it brings an entirely different dimension, a new perspective. These are his moments. Fractions of a second that, amid the rush of acrobatics and dynamic movement, the human eye would normally have no chance of catching. See for yourself. We love these photographs. Thank you, Lukáš!

Lukáš Bíba

I was born sometime in the 1980s. I took my first steps in the rugged north, in Šluknov. After spending several years at the grammar school in Rumburk, I went on to study at the Faculty of Science at Charles University. After graduating, I worked there as a researcher until circumstances – specifically, a journey home from a U2 concert – led me into the media and into photography. Since 2011, I have been a photographer for Hospodářské noviny, or rather Economia.
