Černá voda

About nights when the world seems endless.

“Come on, let’s swim, let’s jump into that black water.”

An outdoor public pool after closing time. A magical summer night. Stars are reflected on the dark surface. Two groups of young people climb over the fence. They are divided by backgrounds, faith, and social status. But on this night, everything seems possible and the world seems endless. One short, intense episode that slowly turns into the feeling that something is irreversibly gone. And you find yourself asking: Was that really all there was?

Twenty years later. In the rain, in the middle of the city, Frank and Leyla meet by chance. Time stops again.

Black Water is about moments you never forget. About what you carry with you and keep deep inside, because it must be deep for a reason.

“You and us — we live in parallel worlds. This world — being born into it — unlike, unlike — the state has completely failed. — that’s how it is, we live in parallel worlds —”
